My 2 baby girls and I are headed out this morning to go to Sophia's Piggie Birthday Party....

It was so cute and fun to see some friends we haven't gotten a chance to in awhile.

Then, we went home and grabbed the boys and headed to Angelo's 4th Birthday Party.

Despite the fact that it makes me sad that Linc is getting bigger, one bonus is that he can do things like go up the bounce house by himself now. How nice it is to be able to stay at the bottom and just watch and relax (sort of).

I SO love Mr. Keith. He is such a sweet daddy and my kids adore him. If you know our family well, you know that my little man is nothing like Sailer. He is cautious and doesn't "trust" super easily. It says so much that he totally loves and feels comfortable with him.

Tonight we are heading out for a double date night, and though I'm totally excited. It's little visions like this as I leave that give me pause and a little bit of yearning to just stay in.

Tonight we met some of our very best friends out for dinner and then, beer bowling. To say this night was hilarious and crazy and totally unexpected is the understatement of the year. We started off innocently enough at Mi Cocina and then, progressed to Main Event (where we were kicked out.... of how I wish I was kidding), and finally, out super late night.

Apparently granny bowling is now deemed "offensive" for a family establishment.... because my innocent and pretty tame girlfriend, Amy, was the cause of our demise at the bowling alley. I have to say that I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time.

I love this picture because you can tell just how much fun we're having.... friends like this only come around a few times in a lifetime. They're fun and easy and always there. We always have the best time with them (and often find trouble). Tonight was no exception.

22 July ~ Playdates

Today we headed for a fun playdate with friends--- I've had these little outfits literally since we found out Sable was a little girl. Just simple little fun play clothes but when they're times 2 it's so precious!!

I swear she is the happiest baby!! If only she'd sleep and not "talk" all night, she'd be perfect!

21 July ~ and the Party Animal returns

Today we just stayed in because mommy wasn't feeling so hot (cough cough). So we did a lot of just chilling, relaxing, snuggling, and of course, trouble making. Sailer is the queen of overkill. She cracks me up because she is so me. One is never enough. And she rarely doesn't know when to stop. Today she found Lincoln's car sticker book, and well, poor Lincoln no longer has any.

My little babe is getting so big and is actually starting to try to grab at things. She actually "played" today on her little mat as opposed to just staring at herself in the mirror and giggling.

And hence the title, I have another girls night out. For a girl who hasn't gone out-out in quite a long time (insert pregnant and cranky and boring), I'm coming out of my shell with vengeance. Tonight we headed to Trulucks to celebrate with Leah.

20 July ~ Birthday Day

We started our day out at the Taco Stand to celebrate Auntie Leah's birthday with some of the crew. This was a DISASTER waiting to happen with all these babes in one booth. Nothing a little margarita at noon couldn't fix!

Next, I dropped Sailer off at Nature Camp and flew to take Sable to her 2 month dr's appointment.

She was 10 lbs and 2 ounces (30%) and 22 1/4 inches long (80%!) So far she's skinny like Sailer and long like Linc (actually she's way longer than Linc was). Who would've guessed?!?!

Apparently, she didn't know what was coming... too bad I did. Shots! I was already tearing up. I swear that's the worse thing to endure because you know it's awful but good for them.

Finally meeting Dr. Hunt who just had a baby girl too. They will likely be friends as they grow.

After I picked Sailer up from school, it was time to celebrate Kim's birthday with a girl's night out!

19 July ~ Sweet loving

My babies have gotten into a new phase of wrestling all the time. Luckily, they both seem to enjoy it.

This morning, the babes headed to Legoland and the Aquarium with their nana and cousins. Unfortunately, they didn't get to do either one due to long lines. )= I'd say the highlight was getting to pick out a treasure from the gift shop. As you can see, they are both SO tired.

Today Miss. Sable is going to meet some more of her family from Kansas. She got all dolled up for the big day, but unfortunately exploded right as we walked in the door.

Too bad her mama didn't pack an extra change of clothes, so she is actually wearing her daddy's baby onesie from the 70's. She seems pretty happy about it!

And Miss. Sailer with her cousin. It was so hilarious and very sweet but she followed him around EVERYWHERE! And did everything he did. He was very sweet to appease her and play with her. She even shared her chocolate popsicles that she made with her nana.

The best new baby product we've found is this little contraption.... and apparently, it's a hit with even our big kids. Sailer's taking a little rest after her hard day at gymnastics camp.

I just love this pic because it shows how quickly they grow.... and just to think that Sailer Bear was this little less than 4 years ago.

What is so sweet about this picture- despite the pink overload is these adorable bitty patent leather pink sandals. Her Aunt Jenny bought these the day we found out she was a SHE. And now she's here and wearing them. Oh, how time is flying by!

This summer we have been home much more than we are used to. We are NOT homebodies. I physically cannot handle it. It's sad because Sailer wakes up and the first thing she asks is either where are going today or who's coming for a playdate?? But while we are still adjusting to the new addition, we tend to not go and do as we did. So we've had to find more games for the house.... this one has been a lifesaver! Except for those dang little balls that we keep losing!

Today Sailer went to gymnastics camp with some pals, and as we were heading out, Linc discovered this. I THOUGHT I'D NEVER GET HIM TO LEAVE! He didn't understand why he couldn't drive them. What's sad or good (however you look at it), I'd been planning a car themed party for him for his third birthday (yes, I think that far in advance), and so many of the things I'd planned, they'd done. It's a pretty cool place. I who LOVES creating parties is seriously thinking of doing Linc's party there instead. He'd love it and his daddy would be pleased at the time and money savings. lol!

This morning one of my sweet friends, Susan is coming over to cuddle with Sable and to let the big kids play. Here is a sweet pic of my two baby girls....

Right before she EXPLODED once again. Sable doesn't ever just go to the bathroom. She goes every other day, dies in between, and then, just explodes onto everything. Poor baby girl. It was so bad this morning, we had to stick her straight into the tub upon Susan's arrival.

Sweet little Lincoln played so hard with Mr. Gavin he couldn't even wait to get in his crib for a nap.

And ending the night with these two sweet girls cuddling on the couch.

I just loved this b/c Sable's already pulling sailer's hair. Thank goodness she thinks it's funny so far! That'll change! lol!

Due to a bunch of yucky sickness, my daddy hasn't even met my newest baby. So today is the day. Grandpa and the other nana are coming over for a playdate!

(Could someone tell his mama to cut those wings?!?!?)

I love that Belva gets down and REALLY plays with my kids... she's in the tent playing make-believe with Sailer. She was eating it up!!!

This makes me so happy to see.... my dad was the best dad growing up. He was always there for me. Even when he didn't necessarily agree. He was a man of God who taught me the power of prayer and the love of our heavenly Father. He was quiet. Smart and crazy knowledgeable. Selfless and loving. It kind of sucks that due to really bad luck with his health, he hasn't been able to be as involved with my babies as he'd hoped and dreamed. I believe in miracles and the power of prayer and continue to pray for a solution for him. He deserves so much more from this life.

And my other main little man who apparently had enough from the day. (=

This little get away has been such a blessing--- to have fun with great friends, to finally embrace some true girl time, for the kids to get to make so many fun memories with some of their besties, and honestly, to just chill in a fun and (mostly) relaxing place. My kids are going to be so sad when they realize we will be leaving tomorrow and that they won't get to just wake up and find instant playmates.

Here are my babes ready to start the day...

3 June ~ Toddlers and Firecrackers (an explosive combination)

Today the boys are heading to the golf course and the mamas are in charge.... we're planning on hitting the lake this morning. So here's Mr. Linc in his new Captain America swimsuit.

Could they be ANY Cuter?? Linc is a little obsessed with Hudson--- the first thing (literally the first) he would say when he woke up was "were pudson?"

We made a craft table out on the sun porch.... which worked well to contain the mess. And boy was there a mess.

Ok- apparently, there had been a huge drought and the water level was the lowest it had ever been... which worked out perfectly for us. It made this awesome beach front right outside out backdoor. It was made out of mud, but the kids didn't seem to mind. In fact, they loved it.

The great thing about a lake is that it totally zaps the little ones so they either nap or have to take a breather at some point.

After nap time, we put on some of our festive wear and headed back to the mainhouse.

While the daddys were out, they stopped off at a firecracker stand and brought back all kinds of goodies. The kids got a huge kick out of throwing the little snap things.

HAPPY B-DAY!!

I have to brag on Keith. I've been around him quite a bit, but this weekend really showed me what an amazing dad he is. Every night he was in the middle of ALL of the kids wrestling, playing, cracking jokes, dancing, etc. They all absolutely adored him and probably felt like he was the best toy they brought. I have to say- Hudson and Harper are so lucky to have such an amazing kid-at-heart dad at home.

[This is Sailer and Keith having a discussion about the nickname "Codfish" that Sailer coined. Thank you, Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Lol]

After dinner, we took the kiddos outside to set off fireworks. I'm sure you can guess who these were bought for...

Unfortunately, Linc was far from a fan of the loud fireworks. )= Mama had to take him inside because they scared him so badly. He's still a little shaken up from the Air show the night beforehand.

I'm sure there probably should be some law against this...

I adore this picture of Harper (though her mama doesn't).... it just screams, "I'm having a blast!"

Once all of the fireworks were lit and baths were had, all the kiddos in their Fourth of July jammies. Getting 7 babies to all look at the camera at one time is IMPOSSIBLE!

Long, long, long after all the babies and daddys had crashed, we mamas were still awake just enjoying our time to talk and laugh uninterupted by kiddos! Well, until one said kiddo did this....

2 July ~ Lake, Day 2

Today the boys are in charge. YEAH! This is their idea of fun... whoopie cushions. They were actually a huge hit!

.... because the girls hit up Canton!

When I got back home--- I found this! I swear they rock my world. Plain and simply.

I loved that they both were sleeping with their arms up so I just had to take a quick picture.

Tonight we had all the kids dressed up in their Bella Bowz wear... they were adorable!

We all rented a pontoon boat and headed out on the lake to watch the air show and see the fireworks.

When we got home to cook out... we snapped a few pics of the kids in all of their glory!

1 July ~ Heading to the Lake!

A few days ago, we figured out out 4th plans fell through with the Jenkins family.... so I was pretty bummed. So I was trying to come up with something fun to do with the Huas and Drees who also hadn't decided on anything for the weekend. We decided neither one of us wanted to stay in town, so she got on line and found the coolest lake house to rent. It was perfect for us!

So today we set off.

We were staying 4 nights but you'd think we were moving there for good.

Thank the sweet Lord they passed out because I was driving them by myself since Mark had to go to work today and I was dying to get there early to check in.

You never know from pictures what things "really" look like... but this place was even better in person. We rented the lake house and another side house. It was so nice! And the man that owned it was hilariously top notch.

It only took 2 second for this crew to create a HUGE mess. Shocker.

These two were the cutest though---- they look like twins from behind and were so cute together!

Roxanne grabbed this shot of Sable smiling with her camera. SO CUTE!!!! (FYI- she's naked b/c she had another blowout. Auntie Katie was the victim this time.)

Look at those cute little buns. Sailer decided she didn't want to sleep by Lincoln so she wedged herself in between the pallete we'd created for her and the wall. We were staying in the other house and wanted to stay up so we got them to sleep for awhile in Katie and Keith's room.

Here they are once we carried them into their real bed for the trip. It was Mr. Linc's first time sleeping in a big boy bed. Aren't they adorable and so innocent??

Especially for anyone who has slept with Sailer.... this is such payback!!!

Today my sweet and talented friend, Alyssa Maisanno, came over and took pics of Sable. She's a few days shy of 1 month, which I can't believe. I'm so grateful for her doing this. They're amazing!

28 June ~ Fun in the Sunflowers (ok, not really)

Though we got a few great pictures, this adventure was painful. I mean really painful. First, it involved taking 7 children to basically Hillsboro to find this awesome sunflower patch. Unfortunately, said sunflower patch was dead upon arrival. Perfect. Then, add in that it's almost bedtime. It's over 100 degrees outside. And what do you find.....horribly cranky children. And almost more cranky parents.

I am glad we endured the torture for pics like this one though...

And this picture captures the "spirit" of that evening perfectly.

27 June ~ relaxing at home

Because we don't do it very often, I sometimes really enjoy just hanging out in pjs all day long with my kiddos. Especially now since it's such a challenge to coordinate and get us all out, dressed and ready, and go somewhere.

I love that these two are so infatuated with Sable. I was terrified there would be jealous issues, but there aren't thus far.

You do have to watch this little rascal. He has now put ice down the side of her because I said she was "hot." Isn't he helpful? And then, today I said she should be getting hungry, and I found him trying to feed her goldfish. Awesome.

The only downfall when you stay at home are the inherent messes that come along with it. For example.

The bonus, however, of staying home is the cuddling you get to do with these cuties.

26 June ~ Cars 2

This morning we woke up early to take the kids (insert Lincoln) to see Cars 2. We've done the flapjacks and flick a few times and it's perfect. Here is my main little man in his official Ferrari jacket straight from Paris.

Ready for it to start. The kids did fairly well for about half of the movie.... but then, in the middle, things began to disintegrate. Especially with the car fanatic. The movie was just WAY too long for us.

25 June ~ Sable's first church experience

My little sweetie has totally impressed me this summer.... she's a natural little fish. Fearless and strong. Thanks to her nana, she has become an awesome little swimmer. The only downfall is the constant begging to swim.... all day long. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but with Sable, it's a little bit tricky for mommy.

And Sable's first time to go to church. Say a prayer she let's us be able to worship.

Because I usually just post pics to show Sable off... I thought I just had to include some of the ones that totally crack me up.

Well, the service was amazing. And we almost made it without event. Until the tailend of the sermon. Sable started to grunt. And anyone who's been around her knows she is not quiet. She sounds pretty similar to a man. It would be impressive if it wasn't so gross. I knew what was happening, but couldn't do anything about it. So I just sang the ending praise and worship songs and then, headed to the bathroom. Only to find this. I'm fairly certain this is not a normal color.

Luckily, auntie leah had left some jammies in our diaper bag from the night before because this outfit was a goner. After we got her all cleaned up, we met the Reiersons at Taco Stand for a quick dinner.

I love that Sailer loves to help. She's such a sweet pea.

24 June ~ Sable, 3 weeks old.

Today was sadly Sailer's last day of zoo camp, and as we were leaving, she was so cute. She said "mommy, can I come back to zoo camp when I get big?" Usually that means big like mommy, but I finally figured out there were a bunch of older kids there that did the camp all day long, and she wanted to do that. Money definitely well spent.

While Sailer was at zoo camp, this little man and I went to mimi's house to play.... and play with his new race track. I swear this kid has a one track mind.

Today Miss. Sable is 3 weeks old. She's so sweet and scrumptious. She's still having major tummy issues (hence, the naked baby below) and thus, having really hard times staying asleep at night. It breaks your heart to hear her. Here is our beautiful little girl.

After we picked Sailer up from the zoo, she and Linc stayed the night with Mimi.... and mommy, daddy, Sable and the Minogues celebrated her 3 week birthday at the movies. The girls going to see Midnight in Paris (loved) and the boys to Green Lantern (apparently, disappointing). Sable again, was an angel.

Ok. Sailer has a fascination with dressing like Sable---- she wants them to match but settles for coordinating. I honestly love it!

I know there haven't been a ton of pics of this little man. And it's not because he's loved any less... I SWEAR! He hates the camera. He throws a huge fit when the camera comes out, so I don't have a ton with him. I so wish I did because he's amazingly perfect. He's sweet and cute and has the most amazing eyes and an even more amazing smile with those without a doubt perfect melt-your-heart dimples. I do laugh my rear off because these two little blankets follow us everywhere.

Mr. Linc loves books, esp. those with anything to do with cars or trucks or planes.

We had a few hours to kill before we had to pick Sailer up from Zoo camp so we went to B&N to kill time. My little man LOVES to dance.... and was just doing it without prompting so I tried to grab a few pics of him. What is the cutest thing though is that he sits in my lap and says "Lincoln bootie" and wants me to show him this video. I swear he is THE cutest boy on the planet.

When we picked her up, she was clad in her shirt and was ready to tell us all about all that she'd learned!

I wish I could bottle up these moments between Sailer and Sable. They're priceless and sweet and melt-your-heart pure love. I know some day soon they'll fight about dumb stuff like boys and clothes and jewelry, but right now, there is no barrier. No hindrance to their perfect little relationship. Sailer is infatuated with her and Sable knows no different.

20 June ~ Zoo Camp!!

Since I'm catching up a month behind I can say this truthfully... this was THE BEST CAMP EVER! this week Sailer started Zoo camp and she absolutely loved it! Seriously, she wanted to stay there forever and wanted to go back first thing when she woke up. That's a testament in and of itself.

Do I have the wrong week? Etc. Then, the said "well, we have a Tara James registered?" CRAP!!!!!! Not only did I register myself for Zoo Camp, but I authorized Sailer to pick me up. LOL------ Two words.... pregnancy brain.

19 June ~ Happy Father's Day!!

Sailer woke up early to start helping me make breakfast for her daddy to celebrate!

And was so eager to give him his present (or should I say, open it for him!) I think she wanted his new iPad more than he did!

The best part of having a pool in the backyard is the family fun time at any moment.... it added to make a perfect day!

The newest game in our house is hide-and-seek and this is my least favorite place for them to hide.... mostly because it can knock things off. Thank goodness it hasn't happened yet! (I do secretly love those sweet little toes sticking out. (= )

And to make sure we love daddy.... we tried on all of his hats for some reason....

And finally, a pic of all of them. We had an outfit for all of them but Miss. Sable was too small! Oh well.... they're still beautiful and perfect and special and all mine....

(Insert side story---- forever I thought Linc was behind... he was slow to crawl, to walk, to talk, to you-name-it..... and then, in the post-delivery room, he busted out with "Mommy, LAD". I was so confused and then, saw the amazement on his papa's face. And I realized... on my bed, there was this insignia for Labor and Delivery. "LAD." Holy moley, batman..... he just easily read the letters. And I wish it were because of me. I worked sooooo hard with Sailer, and only slightly with Lincoln, but here he is, busting out his letters. Come to find out, he knows ALL of them. I would venture to say better than Sailer. And I've decided I attribute it to THE BEST GIFT FOR A 2 YEAR OLD EVER! He plays with it all the time, and miraculously my little boy who doesn't talk a lot has all of the sudden busted out with all of his letters. SO COOL!!!! (Thank you LARISSA and EVA!)

Sweet girl is getting so big but I swear I'm loving every second of it!!

I wish I had a better picture of her sweet dress because her grandpa gave it to her and she wore it especially for him. He's coming in tonight to meet Baby Sable.

To add to the greatness of today, Aunt Amy and Uncle Jace came by.... they are some of our very best friends and have been trying to figure out a time to come by so we were so excited for them to come over!!!

We went to dinner with Sable's grandpa tonight and had the best time playing games. We go to Red Dog Right a lot, and it just works with lots of kiddos and parents who like pizza and beer. (=

17 June ~ Baby Sable is 2 weeks old!

She's getting so big so fast.... but I'm LOVING that she still has blue eyes and people think we look alike. I've been dying for one our kids to look like me, and Sable is my only chance!! So far, so good. The sad part is that she is losing hair quickly to let that blonde hair come in. (=

And tonight we headed to Trulucks with the Minogues to celebrate Sable's 2 week birthday!!

Unfortunately, Miss. S is having MAJOR issues going to the bathroom. In fact, it keeps us up all night... the sad grunting and cries of pain. Well, sweet relief.

Today was HORRIBLE! One because I have a sick sweet baby. But mostly because I couldn't hold her all day long like I normally would. I tried to baby her, but then, would have to set her down to pick up a screaming baby. It was terrible!!! It truly and I mean truly broke my heart when I had to choose one over the other. I know the newborn Sable couldn't help needing a bottle or paci, and likewise, this poor sick baby needed her mama too.

Once daddy got home, I snuck away to meet b4 for some more newborn photos and play with her Aunt Natalie.

14 June ~ Sick babies

Today was a looooooong but sad day. I took Sailer to rodeo camp, and had a surprise for my oldest babies. I dropped Sable off for the first time at her Nana's house, so I could take the big babies to a water park with their friends. Unfortunately, when I picked them up, Sailer was acting a little weird but not bad. We along with a bunch of her friends drove to one splash park (closed), then, another, too small, then, finally landed at the new Hurricane Harbor or something like that in Roanoke. We thought it would be great until we actually got inside and found out nothing is open for toddlers. It was torture for them!!! To make matters worse, in the middle of the water park, I had to take Sailer home (with lincoln kicking and screaming) because she started to have fever and only wanted to be held.

Just in case you were wondering about the life-size Angelina... she goes everywhere with us.

Thankfully the tylenol kicked in--- and the sparkle stars came out to cheer up some sad little babies.

13 June ~ Horse Camp

Today Sailer started her summer of camps! I along with some other mamas have organized a summer full of fun camps for the big babies... starting NOW! Today was the start of Ride With Pride Camp (or as we call it "Rodeo Camp"---- Sailer did this last year and LOVED it. You ride horses, harvest eggs from chickens, do crafts, etc. Here's my baby girl in her precious horse shirt and boots!

Afterwards, we took all the kiddos (like 15 of them) for lunch which was mass chaos!!!

And then, headed to the Safari Park with the Huas and Rendas. Parents hate this place but for some reason, kids love it!! It's perfect for us right now since the heat is starting to set in.

12 June ~ Go MAVS!

Here is my precious little girl ready to meet her Mur and Pom (my grandparents). Unfortunately, this outfit only lasted about 20 minutes until one of her blow outs ruined that plan.

Pom and Mur came over for the afternoon to play with the kiddos and to meet Sable. I absolutely LOVE that my kids are getting to know my grandparents. They're so very special to me (basically my second parents), and I know they love it just as much as me.

Of course, it's the big night for the Mavs, so we were ready to cheer them on!

This was the closest thing I could find in Sable's size that was blue and green for the Mavs. Not so great but it'll do.

11 June ~ Meeting Uncle Matt

This morning when I went to pick up the two big babies, Sailer just "had to" show me her garden. She actually planted a lot of the things in her nana's garden so she takes great pride in it. I think it's so cute--- and frankly, wish I liked that sort of thing. But I just don't. Here are her tomatoes.

But she is most proud of these corn stalks that are now taller than she is. (=

And of course, our newest rocking a tutu. You can never start them too early.

Seriously- could you take a sec and compare the size of their two heads???

Oh my dear word. Tonight Matt came over for a home cooked meal (by his mom, the nana) at our house so he could meet Sable. I swear laughed until I cried. Every time Uncle Matt would pick Sable up to take a picture, she was go beyond cross-eyed. Every dang time. Case in point.

This totally freaks Mark out, but I just have to laugh because I know it will right itself. In the meantime, I was totally amused that she didn't do it until someone would take her picture.

And then of course, Miss. Priss (who yes, is still in her pjs from the night before) made gloves and house shoes out of Sable's diapers which are apparently the perfect size.

And our baby boy who loves his sleep. It was definitely way past his bed time here.

10 June ~ Sable is 1 week old.

Today it's just me and the babies. No reinforcements. No daddy. No mimi. Heaven help us.

My little beauty turned 1 week old today. She is still so tiny and not sleeping so great (thus, mommy is not sleeping so great). But she's so sweet and cuddly and scrumptious. She's starting to gain a little bit back and closing in on her birthweight. We are all so in love with her.

Especially this little girl. Although the green eyed monster has risen his little head a couple of times... the following series of pics is a good example. If I take Sable's picture, Sailer then demands I take her picture. And she just does her silly dance poses and funny smiles. I swear she gets cuter every day.

This little guys is a pretty big fan too.

And is not phased at all by the crying... he will calmly say, "mommy, baby crying. too loud." And doesn't care if he's the cause.

This is my world... right here. I may be driven crazy several times a day. I may want to kill them or sell them on eBay at least once a day. But then, there are those moments that I look at them and think.... dear Lord, why in the world am I so lucky? And how did I get such amazing kids?

Since Sable has come home, there's been a ton of cuddling and fighting to hold her.

But sadly, there's been quite a bit of this as well.

On another note... we attempted an errand today. Utter failure. of Epic proportions. We all four left crying. Seriously. I learned 2 things today about being a stay at home mother of three. One- sometimes survival will directly correlate to the kindness of strangers. And two- I will grocery shop after bedtime. It was simply painful. My kids can be terrors but today took it to another level. It really wasn't fair because I counted on Sailer to be "good"--- and today just wasn't one of her good days, which meant I had three babies I had to carry. Too much for this new mom.

Luckily (and I'm serious about that), my in-laws offered to take the big kids for the night after I called Mark in tears when we left the store. So Mark, Sable and I celebrated her 1 week birthday at the movies. When people saw her in the seat, we had a few move away. Can't blame them, but she did amazing! Not a peep. She slept in my arms the entire movie. (Side note- I ran in Ella Bella today to show her off for a second while I was on my way to drop off the kiddos so we could rush to make the movies. And she had her first blow out. You know someone loves you when they let you change your yucky diaper and just put something new on right on their front counter. I was good and put her in comfy but cute pjs for the night.)

9 June ~ A day in the life

I am just loving this part of the day... Linc wakes up and wants to hold the baby while he watches his cartoons. He's still not quite awake so he's extra loveable and quiet. She actually really likes for him to hold her because he does so tightly like a little football.

And, oh my word, for any nursing moms, you probably know what these are. I had just finished breast feeding Sable and went to look for my lily padz but they were mysteriously gone. I guess I was making a scene out of looking for them because Sailer asked what I was looking for. When I told her, she said, "oh, those big stickers? i borrowed them." Awesome.

And as if there were any question that Sailer is all mine... I came in to find her "arranging" her flowers from the night before....

And decorating Linc's construction table to make it "prettier." Lol!

Then, of course, she made special art for her baby sister.

This is what you can find Lincoln doing most of the time..... making a mess. He likes to just dump out everything, and really isn't satisfied unless everything he owns is spread out for him to see. I hate these stinking Lincoln Logs.

The Minogues came over for dinner... and I have NO IDEA what this picture is of but it just looks wrong but funny all in one. She's using chopsticks to show him something in her panties (I think). And he has the look of "oh my"! Unfortunately, I was trying to take a pic of them at their table and wasn't really paying attention (A-1 Mommy) and didn't even notice until I downloaded the pics.

8 June ~ Sailer's Dance Recital 2011

Today was so special for the James girls, especially Sailer. She had her second dance recital, and she is beyond pumped. She loves dance now, and I swear it makes my heart happy. This year she gets to do a tap routine and a ballet. She likes ballet because it's "just so much more beautiful, mommy."

Here we are ready to hit the road to Fort Worth for our rehearsal first thing in the morning (super fun with a brand new baby in tow).

And backstage giddy because she gets real makeup (esp mascara). I'm so in trouble.

Mimi came for backup and was crucial in our survival/success. I was backstage mom for both of Sailer's classes, so she was on Sable duty so I could be full-time Sailer mommy/cheerleader. I wanted this day to be all about Sailer... she's already losing some lime light to the little one, and I refused for anything to shadow a day she's worked so hard for.

Strangely enough, she was given the same costume two years in a row (ironically, a Sailor girl) which apparently never happens.... but they started out the year with a little boy in their class and it was the only one with a cute boy counterpart. (He dropped out- go figure.)

Luckily, we didn't have much time between dances for boredom to set in, so we jumped into our second costume and pretty much headed back onto the stage. This was her ballet number to "I Wonder."

After rehearsal, we grabbed lunch, Sailer took a nap in the car, and I stopped at the hospital to make sure Sable was ok (she gained 5 oz in a day which was HUGE and her jaundice level came back down to a 10)... hallelujah! I didn't know what I was going to do if they readmitted her. The Lord truly was watching out for us.

After the hospital, we headed straight to Sweet & Sassy for a little pampering for you know who.

We then rushed back to Fort Worth (my mom and I didn't have time to even get ready arggh). This pic is of me having to put makeup on her kitty. (=

Funny story- they were up north for her brother's graduation from med school, and apparently when she head Sable was born, she cried that she wasn't there.... everyone thought she was crying for her brother. When they discovered it wasn't for him, they proceeded to make fun of her for the rest of the weekend. (=

Thank goodness for Angelina. She even danced around the restaurant with her. She was entertaining to everyone.

And of course, our little trouble/mess maker was in full force. Especially when he doused himself with water right at the table.

And I didn't think his hair could get any worse. I was wrong.

7 June ~ Who needs an American Girl Doll...

when you have the real thing???

Today I took Sable back to the breast feeding center to have her weight and jaundice level checked, and well, it didn't go as planned. She was down almost 15% from her birth weight. 6 lbs., 2 oz. If she'd been down 1 more percent, they'd have readmitted her right then. They tested my milk and I made a whopping 1/2 and ounce! No wonder... she's STARVING. The pediatrician wouldn't even let me leave there without giving her a bottle. Poor baby sucked it dry. They told me I had to supplement after every feeding. Ugghh--- I seriously don't understand why I can't breastfeed and produce milk like everyone else. It's so frustrating! Both my mother and my MIL could breast feed like champs and I can't AT ALL. If were going to succeed with any of them it would've been Sable... she latched on like a champ and had the strongest suck.

To add insult to injury her jaundice level skyrocketed as well, and if she goes up 2 more points by the morning, they'll either admit her or make us get one of those tanning beds for the house. Needless to say, this visit did not go as planned.

We left there and went straight to her Aunt Leah's house for her first photo shoot. 4 hours! And lots of wardrobe changes.

She even got to meet these 2 little squirts.

When we finally got back home this little sweetie was exhausted!! I got her in her preemie pjs and just had to take a picture!

6 June ~ Starting a new groove.

We adore doughnuts at our house, so it's only appropriate that we celebrate Sable's first day with glazed doughnuts. (=

And Linc playing his laptop (one of the coolest parts of being in the hospital was because of this little man.) He sadly flies under the radar often because he's quiet. In the hospital once we'd checked into our new room, Linc was at the end of my bed and said "mommy, L A D." I was confused until someone at the end of the bed looked up at me with astonishment. He'd read the letters at the end of the bed. LAD. Labor and Delivery. I was dumb founded. I had no idea he knew his letters that well. We started to show him all the rest and I seriously almost died with excitement. He knew them ALL! I wish I could say that it was because I work with him feverishly like I did with Sailer, but unfortunately, it's wasn't. I did work with him sort of when I worked with Sailer.... but I really believe it was due in large part to this little computer. The best gift EVER. Thanks, Larissa!

5 June ~ Welcome home, Sable Rose.

I'm not certain how it's already time to head home, but day 3 is already here and it's time to pack up and show Sable her new home.

I've dressed both Sailer and Lincoln in the same outfit I plan to have them "christened" in for lack of a better term when they go home... so of course, I did the same thing for Miss. Sable.

My cup truly runneth over with the blessings the Lord has given me through these little ones.

And it's time to go home....

4 June ~ Sable Rose, Day 2
