13 July ~ Headed to Work and to the Stage

Thanks to his Tia Carmen, Mr. L donned his first pair of jeans! Isn't he SO cute!?!?!

A day in the life of this little prima ballerina...

12 July ~ Answered Prayers

Today was such a big and great day for our family. As I've written a lot about lately, we have been searching and praying for a new church home. Well, we finally found a place that meets the needs we'd been searching for.... truly, praise the Lord! We joined a fantastic church that is ironically a minute from our old house today! It's small and familial and what has been SO amazing about our experience thus far is that every time we've visited (and I mean EVERY single time), we've been approached by young couples with kids our age to join them for lunch after or to set up a playdate or to get us involved. That just doesn't happen! And never would've at our old church (which I still love but just needed to find somewhere that was a better fit for the needs of family now). Anyway, I'm SO excited about getting involved and meeting more people there. Funny enough, we actually have run into quite a few people that I went to college with, so that's really helped make us feel at home faster. YEAH for answered prayers!!!!

Mr. L's Nana came over today with a special little gift for him... his first CAR! Ok, so it's a little matchbox car, but it's something special because his daddy is such a car fanatic and apparently was addicted to these as a child.

11 July ~ PJ Days are the Best!!

Saturday, we pretty much stayed in our pj's all day! SOOO nice... I haven't taken a pic of the cutie little man in his pj/hats lately, and I couldn't resist today. Totally in love with him!

Timarron's Midnight Golf Tournie Winners

Tonight was SO much fun!! The craziness of Facebook reunited me with one of my very old friends who now lives about a MINUTE away from me!! Jaclyn has just started golf lessons, so we got them to play with us in the annual Midnight Golf Tournament up at Timarron. Last year was SO dang fun, so we could't wait to play in it again. The tournie is set up with a 9 hole scramble while it's still light out, then, you head into the clubhouse for dinner, and then, everyone heads back out to play a 9 hole scramble in the dark! They use glow-in-the dark balls and line the fairways and flags with glow sticks. Anyway, we had a blast, and if you can believe it, we WON the whole thing!! And had an absolute blast doing it. (=

This is post-dinner and on to the fun and games!

Look at these super fun drinks... all glow-in-the-dark! And then, a picture of us after a "few" of those fun little jello shots.

10 July ~ Cute Endings...

Another day of gymnastics for Miss. S...

This is what she says is her favorite part... the "big rope"!
And I'll leave you with a cute "ending"...

9 July ~ Scary Movies and Snacktime with Friends

This morning, Sailer and I FINALLY made it to the weekly movie that we signed up for this summer. With school, activitites, etc., this is the first one we could go to. Sailer always does so fabulous during movies. It amazes me she has such a great patience, but then, again, if you're getting popcorn, candy and a Sprite at 9:30 in the morning, who wouldn't? I took this pic with my camera at one point in the movie (Kung Fu Panda) because she was absolutely cracking me up... during the fight scenese, she kept leaning over to tell me "mommy, this is scaaaary. this is scaaaary."
And then later that afternoon, she instructed me that Minnie and Daisy were hungry and needed a snack. So I gave her the bag of Goldfish and extra juiceboxes for her "friends." She proceeded to play hostess, including keeping the conversation going the whole time! Ha ha!!

Cute Sailerism for the week

One of my favorite parts of the day with Miss. S lately has been prayer time before bed. It totally cracks me up because you just never know what she'll say. Anyway, we read our books (lately it's been "Big Words" over and over), and once I say "The End" (to signal no more stories), she abruptly spins around in my lap with her precious little hands already clasped. One particularly night this week during her prayer, it went a little something like this:
Sailer: "Dear Baby Jesus
Mommy: thank you for
S: Papa.
M: Who else?
S: Ummmm, Papa.
M: Ok, besides Papa, what are you thankful for?
S: (with a look of frustration) Ummm, Papa, Mommy. Just Papa. K? Amen!

8 July ~ My little version of "Happy Feet"

I think Sailer is finally really getting into this dance thing. She's loved gymnastics from the start, but with dance, she never really talked about it during the week... but today, she ran in, put her shoes on, and then, kept saying "Sailer tap! Sailer tap!" And proceeded to do a little tap performance on the mats for me. She was SOOO stinking cute! I especially loved how she'd stop for a second mid-performance to check herself in the mirror! (=

And then, her crazy friend Hope arrived, and they took off as usual! You'd think she'd crash after running around for an hour...you'd think wrong. 7 July ~ My little teapot...

We went to our second week of art class, and she was just as big a fan this week as last.

Today's theme for art class was teapots, so these are photos of her making her on teacup and saucer, and then listening to a tea story. They also sang cute little songs like "I'm a little teapot", etc.

This arguably was her favorite part today... like her daddy, she LOVES to build anything! These blocks were supposed to be pretend "biscuits" to put on her plate, but all she saw was blocks! The taller the better...

And her sweet brother along for the ride YET AGAIN!

6 July ~ More tutu love...

Another day of ballet with the cuties...what I love about the last photos is the fact that Sailer and Hope are banging their feet on the ground just to hear the sound. They had a new teacher this week that isn't quite as fun as their normal one, and she was none impressed. Oh well, they had a grand time!
