16 Aug ~ A Day at the Big Top!

Welcome to the Big Top again!! Mark and I took Sailer to the circus for a little alone time, just the 3 of us. I think that was her favorite part of the whole day. The show really was pretty amazing... as you can see from the photos, however, our highlight was the FOOD! We had nachos, pretzyl, popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream. YUM YUM!

This little princess wand did not stop flashing the whole time!

Then, we went up and picked up the little man... clad in his first Masters hat!

This poor dog was beaten into submission! HA.... he just sat there and let her "ride" him forever!

15 Aug ~ Welcome Easton!

Today I had the pleasure of helping host a baby shower for one of my sweet college sorority sisters, Nicole, and her highly anticipated little boy, Easton, at my house! It was so fun to get to catch up with the girls... here's a few shots of all the girls, Nicole, and the fun totally boy decor.
the hostesses: Me, Mel, Ebes, Nicole, Jaime, and Jules (and Kathy (not pictured)!
Don't you remember when you were prego and every gift you opened (didn't matter if it was diaper wipes) made you want to cry??
No party at my house goes without something to toast...

The food table...

After the shower, the Mackies came over to watch the movie, "I Love You, Man!" Aren't these pics of the new little ones precious? I can't decide which one is my fave... the one where she's cutting her eyes at him or where he has his arm around her like a stud. (=

14 Aug ~ Where's Linc?

This little man is going to be the toughest kid around after a childhood like this... LOL! His sister apparently thought he was lonely in his new little playcenter.

13 Aug ~ Seriously...

this may be like a $10 balloon which is insane, but I swear... today it was worth it's weight in gold! I was running errands like a crazy person in preparation for the weekend, and this sweet little balloon went EVERYWHERE! Gotta love her. (=

12 August ~ Three Years of Bliss and counting...

THREE YEARS and counting.... today was Mark and I's third anniversary since taking the plunge together. I feel so blessed by his daily presence in my life... I love him more than words can say and know with every fiber of my being that God designed him for me. First off, because he can put up with me, which is no small feat. But more so, we make each other happy. We simply fit. He makes me laugh even when I'm crabby. He spoils me completely rotten. He works so hard to give our family a life that is beyond expectation. He is an incredible daddy that shows in my daughter's eyes... and I have no doubt will shine in my son's as well. But most importantly, he is trying to set a Christ-like example for his family to follow. I treasure this the most. It's not easy in his business, in this world and time to live in such a way... it takes a strong man, so I respect him immensely for doing so. With all of that said, I love you, Mark (if you read this), and I truly thank our Lord for you. Here's to many, many, many more days like today!

We got up for an early breakfast and tee time over at Cowboys, which is an incredible course!! (Luckily my sweet dad/grandpa and his could-not-be-better-with-kids wife/nana came over to the house to watch the kids ALL DAY! Woo hoo!!)
After we got home, we went pool shopping! Can I tell you how stressful this whole process is, but it was SO nice to run around and just BE with Mark today. Once we got home, we took quick showers and headed out to JR's Steakhouse for dinner. Can I please tell you that I had the BEST dessert I've EVER had?? I'm a total sucker for smores, and I'm not certain how they did it, but it was absolutely to die for, melt in your mouth, perfection.

11 Aug ~ Potty Training D-Day

It's D-Day at our house... as I've said before, I have been super lax on the whole potty training front. I've read and been told by drs that it's not always best to push it before they're ready. SOOOO, I didn't/haven't. Well, since Sailer has decided she is ready sometimes I no longer think I can be so passive about it. THUS, our new cool potty shirt. That was the kick off. Then, we headed off to Sam's to get the jumbo bag of suckers you see below which are going to be my incentive... though getting to wash her hands seems to be incentive enough. We're introducing our fun chart in a few days, but I thought it best not to hit her all at once. SO say prayers... for both of us. (=

9 Aug ~ The tank's 3 month old pics

After church and naptime, my sweet friend and awesome photographer, Alyssa, came over to the house to snap some shots of the kids, specifically Mr. L to celebrate his turning 3 months old. We (meaning I) didn't do a lot of pre-planning for this session which is SO not like me, so when I was brainstorming RIGHT before she arrived... I decided I wanted a few pics of me and my little man in just normal settings. So as you can see, she took a bunch of the two of us just cuddling, playing, laughing, etc in his nursery.

This is one of my absolute faves b/c it just looks like he does all the time!

I just included this one b/c it makes me crack up... this is SO his bad hair!
I could just eat this two little precious things up? This sums up my life... the little sass that thinks she owns the world and her adoring sweet little brother just watching her in adoration.

One sweet moment...
Do you think it's a problem that I dressed my 3 month old up in a prison jumpsuit? It's cool, right?

And finally two quick shots of a normal night just playing around...

8 Aug ~ Big and Little People Parties (=

This morning, Sailer and I headed over to Tim and Sam's house to help celebrate their 2nd birthday! My how time flies... a cute pic or the little guys.Everyone helped open the presents..

Sailer was obsessed with this little pop up toy...

Tonight we did dinner club at Kris' house.... they hosted a shrimp boil, which was super yummy. Usually it's more to the end of the month but with school quickly approaching, this was the best time for most. I love our dinner club!
No idea what this was...but I really have a fat tongue. Gross.

The reason this picture completely makes me laugh out loud is because Kris set up a beer tasting station that had about 8 different beers you had to taste and try to guess what they were. Complete with prizes and all. Well, these two beer snobs (ie my hubby and Heather) just KNEW they were right on ALL of their tastings... as you can see they even had little conferences confirming their answers. Well, guess who DIDN'T win...um, Mark and Heather.... and who DID win??? ME! HA- it was so classic. (=

These precious little coconut snowcones did NOT make for a pretty morning for mommy. Uggghhh... they seemed so innocent!
Some of the guys playing "bags"...
