22 Nov ~ Barbies and Shotgun Shells

Well, we thought our sweet friends, the Greers, were heading this way the weekend following Thanksiving... my usual Christmas decorating crazy days.... so I decided to tackle the job pre-Thanksgiving. I know, I know.... gasp. Anyway, I always like to do it clad in Christmas flair, with festive music and maybe a celebratory cocktail for creative mojo just for good measure! It makes me in SUCH a good mood.

Even Lincoln was doing flips because he was so excited... lol!

Ever since Sailer was a baby, I have put up this super fun pink tree in her nursery which we proceeded to decorate with her 3 decades of signature Barbie ornaments.... they're too die for! I love that this year she actually knows and loves Barbies, so the tree was a complete hit! This was the blank slate, just begging for some pretties...For the second year in a row, Miss. S actually helped me put up and decorate her tree. She LOVES it!! This year she definitely had a definite opinion regarding where ornaments should be placed.
A collection of her vintage barbie ornaments...apparently having a party of their own.
My little princess.... once upon a time, this was mine... lol. Ohhh, the good ole days. (= Just kidding... I am honestly one of those people that think life just keeps getting better. Those definitely were good days in my life, but my life now... the days are GREAT!
After awhile of me just decorating, my "little elf" decided to rejoin me to help with the final touches!

A few sweet shots of my top design elf in action.

And on to my second-in-command showing off his new tree.... complete with all boy ornaments including the super fun shotgun shell lights.

Sweet boy in your cowboy Santa pjs...

21 Nov ~ Raspberries and such

Awww... the decorations are coming out... and let's just say, it is a constant battle to keep one precarious little toddler out of them!
I so love how much they love each other...
Tonight Mark and I were heading out for a date night, so we got the kids dressed to go to dinner with their nana and papa along with all of their fun cousins that were in town. Before we left, I just had to capture the little nonstop showing of raspberries this little man was putting on. He is constantly doing this, and it just makes me laugh out loud. Why oh why is it fun to cover yourself in your own spit?? Please explain, my little man.

Seriously, the spit drips totally gross me out.... thank the good Lord he's so stinkin' cute!

20 Nov ~ PJ day

Due to previous day activities involving my second boyfriend, Edward, we all stayed in our PJs for the majority of the day! (=

19 Nov ~ Reading Friends Turkey Feast

Happy ALMOST Turkey Day!!! Let me introduce you to my sweet little pilgrim babies...
And have a little glimpse at the Thanksgiving feast my sweet friend, Krista, and I put on for Sailer's class at school! Isn't it adrorable??
The cute little pilgrim hat pots used as their nameplates...
And these God-forbidden plates that took FOREVER (and then some) to make... if you can't tell, they are two small plates that were glued together by popsickle sticks and paper feathers to form a turkey... the head being the dessert plate and the body for the main course!
And in keeping with the turkey theme... there were these huge turkey pots in the center filled with gobs of candy corn (which were probably the biggest hit of the party).

We had little bonnets, hats, and pilgrim collars with their names monogrammed on them for all the kiddos... we got them all dressed up for their feast before bringing them into the room. Here's Miss. S modeling hers...And patiently (or not so patiently) waiting to eat...
The main course... the turkey and ham cut into fun little fall shapes (leaves, pumpkins, etc.)
Enjoying the goods with one of his fave pals, Pierce.
And these adorable little cookies that Sailer's friend, Adam's mom made were delicious and too cute!

I'm always thankful for S and L's nana.... but big time thankful today! There's no way I could've handled Mr. L during the party, so he cuddled with is nana instead!

NEW MOON... and wild moms out!

Anyone who knows me, probably knows that I have been salivating for this movie release! Seriously, it could not come soon enough for me!! I had planned on doing a Twilight watching party (the idea coming from my friend Kari who knows how to throw a rockin' movie party....insert Julie and Julia), but I just could not get my act together to get it done right! But things turned out even better. I met up with some of my favorite crazy girlfriends who truly know how to have a good time... even in a boring movie theater.

It started here at Brio's for martinis and appetizers...Then, we headed to the Harkins for the double showing of Twilightstarting at 9 and then, heading into the midnight showing of New Moon!!

This picture requires an explanation... um, well, on my way to meet the girls I was about to run out of gas, so I pulled into the nearby gas station to fill up. When I went inside to get some goodies for the movie, I did a double take. There sitting by the counter was a BOX of wine just looking at me. Thanks to my good friend Vicki, I hear about the box of wine frequently, but have never tried it. Well, there's no time like the present. (= I picked one up for the movie... yep, thats right. Sad, I know. Anyway, when we arrived at the theater to get in the never-ending line, we made friends with the manager (see big guy in the back of the group of girls with the goofy grin)... he LOVED us! In fact, he went and got us a tray of "water glasses" aka paper wine goblets for the movie. Too fun!!
Here with our water cups...
And of course, wherever there's alcohol, the splits are always present with this group....lol!Between showings, Tine and my "new BFF" (that's what I lovingly call her... or "Splits" for short) headed to Starbucks to get some wake up juice.
Which was then perfected with the Bailey's that was snuck in... are you seeing a theme here?
This is the picture post Twilight, heading into NEW MOON!
Seriously this was one of the best nights.... Edward, good friends, fun prohibition treats, etc. Can't wait for the 3rd installment!!! There will definitely be a repeat of his night (V, you may want to join the "fun cougars" this time around.... (= )

18 Nov ~Sibling Splashin'

Today was our first trial at a duo-bath.... super sweet success!! Little Linc LOVED it!!! And surprisingly, so did his sister! I'm fairly certain that there was more water on the floor surrounding the bath than actually inside the tub after they were finished with their splash party. The other funny part of the bathtime was that Sailer refused to sit in the big part of the tub, but had to squeeze into Linc's little tub.

Tink had to help get the soap out of linc's hair.

Cellulite never looked so good.....

Later that day, Miss. S went outside to help her sweet Uncle Matt put up the Christmas lights on the driveway and trees.
