22 Dec ~ Letter from Santa and Cookie Decorating with Nana

This morning my little princess awoke to a letter (email) from Santa himself. She thought this was the coolest thing that she had to bring her "berries" (aka fairies) into watch it with her. From the start of the Christmas holidays, Sailer has insisted that Santa bring her a "purple present;" unfortunately she refuses to extrapolate. Santa is going to have to get creative, I guess. (=Sailer on the "nice list."
Asking for the mystery purple present.

This afternoon we headed to Sailer's Nana's house for another tradition... our Christmas Cookie Decorating Party. We make a gazillion cookies with Sailer who was clad in her holiday baking paraphernalia. She LOVES it. If you received any baked goods from us this year, I apologize for the following pictures and pray you're not against double dipping! (=

Every baker needs a break....
And we're back for round 2.

NOT patiently waiting for them to cool down.
Have you seen the muffin man?

Seriously, I could EAT him up!!!

21 Dec ~ 007 Playgroup Christmas Party

Today was Sailer's playgroup's Christmas Party at the house. I have no idea why I didn't get more pics of the actual party, but it was super cute and the kids had a blast. (=Our little table for the kids to make and decorate Christmas trees.
Sailer loves all things crafty (shocker), so she spend a lot of her time here.

Where's Linc?
Oh yeah, under the tulle!
Linc playing with this little cutie, Moo.
Enjoying some yummy cupcakes courtesy of her sweet friend, Adam.
Um.... you think he was enjoying himself?
My 2 cuties!

Loving having his pics taken... lol!
So the "I'm not touching you" game has already started.
And someone just might be teething?!?!?

That afternoon we headed to Sunshine Glaze to make platters for the kiddos grandparents.
Sailer thought it was so funny to get to fingerpaint... Linc, not so much.

2009 Santa Brunch at TCC

One of my favorite traditions at Christmas is to attend the Santa Brunch at the club with some of our best friends, the Jenkins. One because it's hilarious to see the kiddos either love/hate Santa. And two, because I adore any time we get to spend with this clan. They're just those easy amazing friends who are always there for you and who you always have the best time with. And you will be hard pressed to find people you can flat out belly laugh with. (= They're definitely people I value so very much, esp at this time of the year. Doesn't hurt that our kiddos are more like family rather than friends.
Don't know what to say about this photo??

Donkey kicks and dancing with the pianist.
Annual family pic!

These crack me up.... Sailer is OBSESSED with this little man.... but doesn't quite know how to show him delicately.

I cannot find my pic with Santa right now, so I'll have to add later. )=

Hello sad little blog....

OK, so I've been MIA from here since, well, Christmas! Between lots of parties, even more sick kiddos, lots of traveling, sick mommy days, and just plain living.... this little sweet blog has taken a backseat. I am going to TRY to catch up, but a lot of posts will be wordless. I didn't take pics everyday (gasp) and wasn't so great about writing down what we did (double gasp), but I can tell you, we've had lots of fun. My kids are crazy funny. My friends are as insane as I am. My hubby is still the love of my life. And my life is blessed beyond measure. So not much has changed here. Thank the Lord. With that said, I'm going to attempt to capture some of the last six months, if not simply so I can print my little blog books for future torture tactics against my children. (=

19 Dec ~ Gingerbread house party!

This is the second year in a row Sailer has gone to the Gingerbread House Decorating party up at Timarron. It's always so funny to watch her because she starts out with such a mission, placing her candy meticulously in rows (all the same kind, she's a little anal). (= And slowly, she starts to nibble on the candy before placement. And finally, she just forgets about the house completely and goes straight for the icing. Let's just say it's a good thing that they give each kid their own bag of icing...

This year she and her buddy, Angelo, had such a fun time together. They are so funny!See what I mean abut the precision and deep thought.

Helping each other.
Ahhh, forget about the house!

Later that night we headed to dinner with the fam...getting her to take a nap post-sugar high was a nightmare, but she apparently woke up in a good mood, huh?? (=

18 Dec ~ Belly Laughs

Today mommy got a me-day and later a date night so to speak so the babes went to spend the night with their nana and papa. Cheese!!!!
I {heart} these belly laughs!

Mom's League Christmas Party

Tonight was the Mom's League Christmas Party... love these girls!! Thanks Trina for hosting such a fun party! I'm so fortunate to have become a part of this amazing group of women. Seriously, I was somewhat skeptical when I joined because I'd heard mixed reviews, but I have no idea what they were talking about?!?! I have met some of the coolest ladies ever, and some I know I'll be friends with for the long haul. They constantly are a blessing in my life.

And btw, the best part for me (and Trina and Sherilyn) was my addition to my Christmas exchange gift... a life size poster of Edward! (= Oh, I feel so sad for those who do not understand. Lol.
