Pickles & Ice Cream...well, not so much for me

I'm sure every prego has had to answer the question, "are you having any weird cravings?" about a million times during their pregnancy. So far I've been pretty much like I was with Sailer. I like to think of them not as cravings, but as "my routine."

With Sailer, I stopped at the McD's by my house on the way to work and ordered a sausage mcmuffin w/ cheese meal, ate it on the way, and then, stopped at the McD's right by my office and ordered it again. Then, pretty much ate whatever, nothing really specific during the day. But I ended my day EVERYDAY with a glass of milk and oreos.

With this one, I'm keeping with the hearty breakfast trend (please note: prior to bebes, my breakfast consisted of coffee, and if I was really ambitious, I got up a little earlier to grab a doughnut with my coffee). These days, I load poor Sailer up every morning and head to Chick-fil-a to get a chicken biscuit with cheese meal AND a 3 count chicken mini meal with a big decaf coffee. One might think I wouldn't want lunch just a few hours later, but you would be wrong. This mama does not skip meals. Now the newest "routine" has been to stop at either the Wendy's for a chocolate frosty with oreo or a decaf carmal frap from Starbuck's around 3ish. [Unfortunately, Sailer's diet has nose-dived with mine.] And the last thing I can't get enough of is orange juice... lots and lots of cups of OJ. Doesn't matter the time of day either. The problem with this has only reared its ugly head as of late. The dreaded heartburn! Owweeee. I get it all the time anyway (thank the Lord for that little purple pill and mounds of tums), but the OJ has really made it worse. What's sad is that I can't give it up, so I just wash down the tums with it.

They always say that you crave what your body is "needing" at the time... and well, I can see that with the OJ (Vitamin C) & the meat and cheese (protein). But that's where the nutritional value train makes a giant halt. I'm pretty sure that oreos, chocolate ice cream and/or caramel have very little to do with a nutritional depletion in my body or his. Oh well... my "routines" are pretty set, so we'll just pretend.

I really, really, really did have a plan to eat healthily, all-organic, blah, blah, blah. Ummm, well,...
