18 Mar ~ Family Dinner

Tonight we had dinner with Sailer's cousin, Gavin... I can't believe how big he's gotten!! Isn't he so precious?!?! Love these photos of them givin' each other hugs & kisses.

Btw, chocolate donuts are NUM NUM!

St. Patrick's Day 2009

Well, this was my sad attempt at dressing Sailer up for St. Patty's Day! What's sad is that she actually had a super cute little outfit, but the Nana, Sailer & I spent all afternoon in Babies'r'us and Toys'r'us getting baby and birthday goodies, so my good intentions went by the wasteside. This brings me to Sailer's shining moment of the day. To appease and entertain her during the tedious hours of shopping for "gear," Nana gave Sailer her makeup bag to play with. Usually this just entails the lipstick all over the face, but today included a new trick. Sailer decided to get a little creative with her peek-a-boo.... (sorry for the poor quality picture, but i was laughing so hard that I couldn't keep the phone still.)

Celebrating Uncle Matt's B-day

Tonight, we celebrated Sailer's Uncle Mark's birthday by grilling out superb steaks... my favorite! It was just a relaxing night with family (we needed it after the rest of the weekend!)

15 Mar ~ Showered with Love

This afternoon, one of my precious friends, Susan, hosted a dual shower luncheon for Tracy and me up at Timarron Country Club. We're both having little boys a few weeks apart (which I couldn't be more excited about!!). Anyway, the whole thing came about b/c I asked Susan about doing a shower together for Tracy meanwhile Tracy had asked about the two of them doing one for me. When we realized the shower list would most likely be pretty identical, Susan came up with the fun plan of doing one together. I LOVED the idea... as outgoing as I am, I get a little embarressed at showers where you open gifts in front of a lot of people, so this was perfect!!! It was so very generous of Susan, and I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful friend.
Our sweet friends completely spoiled Lincoln and baby Patton... and even, Sailer got some goodies. Thanks to Vicki the lifesaver I actually have quite a few pics from the afternoon to share (= ...

12-15 Mar ~ "Old Friends are the Best Friends"

On Thursday, one of Mark's very best friends from high school along with his sweet family came to stay with us for a long weekend.... they've known each other for over 20 years so it was hilarious to listen to them tell stories on one another. We did a lot of eating, relaxing, playing, shopping, golfing, rock band-ing, bounce-housing, etc.... oh, and their precious little boy got his very first big boy haircut (as Shanna said, I was learning vicariously through her for Lincoln (= ). Isn't he a doll baby? As for Sailer, she was luckily feeling way better than she has been, but she did have a small "sharing" problem with Brady. They finally compromised by her sitting in the stroller and him pushing her around. I didn't grab a lot of pics from the weekend (what is my problem these days?!?!?), but here are a few:

My poor little princess...

I've decided that one of the worst things in the world is watching a toddler throw up. We've been so lucky with Sailer b/c she has been such a healthy little girl, so when she gets sick, our house goes on lockdown. Sailer came down with a stomach virus on Friday and didn't MOVE from the couch until the following Wednesday. The only time we ventured out (hence the car pic) was to go to the doctor, which was worthless! I wish I could've traded places with her b/c she just didn't understand. We pretty much laid/slept/read books on the couch together for the duration. I snapped a few pics of her with my phone just b/c she was so sweet it broke my heart...

28 Feb/ 1 Mar ~ Party Weekend

This weekend was birthday party and baby shower central... Sailer had 2 b-day parties on Sat, but I only got pics of Sailer at her good pal, Hope's 2nd birthday party. It was at Gymnastics Plus which was a huge hit with my little one!

Then, we headed to a sweet baby shower for my friend, Kelly, who's expecting a precious little girl just a little before Lincoln's arrival.Sunday I headed to the Fort for a shower honoring one of my sweet college girlies, Tiff, who's preparing for Baby Boomerang to arrive this May! I don't know what my prob was this w/e, but I didn't get a pic there either. Bummer... oh well, I loved catching up with the girls!

Gorgeous Weather!!

When I picked up Sailer from school today, it was just too gorgeous to go home, so we got some snacks and headed to the park for the afternoon. As you can see, she loved it!

And I'll leave you with this cute pic of a cowgirl and her greatest fan...

Helping mommy sew...

or not so much! She apparently loves trim just as much as me. Expensive habit!

22 Feb ~ Birthday dinner #3

Sailer's nana cooked an extra special birthday dinner for me today... wonderful as always! Since I'm not a traditional cake or cookie person, I got my fave cookie cake instead. Of course, Sailer is just like her mama and insisted on several pieces! The best part of the night is that we basically ate in our pjs and watched the Oscars!! I was in heaven...

21 Feb ~ "If the trailer is a rockin', don't come a knockin'"

This would be the sign posted on the door of this month's dinner club.... it was a full out white trash extravaganza. Not only did everyone go all out dressing up, the food (let's just say lots of fried chicken, easy cheese, twinkies, etc.) and the festivities (a beer pong tournie) all correlated to the theme. Here are a few snapshots- me clad in my "i'm easy" outfit and failed breast pads (nasty), one of all the girls (missed this since the prego has to get in bed early and they are rockstars), and finally, one of a few of the really hot guys!

20 Feb ~ Mommy's Birthday

Today I spent the day at the spa while Sailer played with her mimi. That evening Mark and I head to Fort Worth to celebrate at Grace... talk about YUM-O!

After dinner, we headed back to Southlake to pop in on a little get together some friends of ours were having in celebration of revealing the gender of their little one to come.... looks like it's girl #4 for the Mackies!

Poor little forsaken blog...

between my computer ailing and a super sick little girl, this poor little blog has been completely forsaken by me... i'll just try to hit some high points for the past couple of weeks and start fresh! (=

Technology Deprived!!!!

OK- so my computer is finally back up and running.... HALLELUJAH! I've been dying without it. Will post some pics later on today of what's been going on at our crazy house. I've SO missed looking at all your blogs too. Didn't realize how addicted I'd become. (=
