Day 3 ~ A taste of true fashion and Sunset on the Seine

Today we headed out to simply explore... we shopped, we ATE, we walked, walked and walked some more. Today included one of the total highlights for me for this trip. Anyone who knows me well knows that fashion is a passion for me. Whether I can afford the "true" designers, I still know them and usually what they're up to. Well, few designers match the ART that Yves St. Laurent created in his day. To celebrate his life and impact on the world of fashion, the Petite Palais created a very comprehensive collection of his famous launches, and to say I was in heaven just doesn't even come close to describing it. It was AMAZING!!!!!!

This is the inner courtyard of the Petite Palais where we sat for mid afternoon cocktails.

Aren't these doors fantastically incredible?!?!?

Across the street is the Grand Palais, an equally incredible museum.

During our walk, we discovered the home of the President. Not a bad place to work, huh??
Tonight we took a sunset dinner cruise down the Seine River. Although the food was merely decent, the atmosphere and the sights at night were more than enough to make up for it.

Some of the sights along the way....
The lit up tower.... every hour, they do a light show and we got to see it from the water right underneath it. Nothing like it!! Seriously.
the other statue of liberty. it's shockingly small after seeing ours.

For those of you who've never seen the amazing light show of the Eiffel Tower... here's a little glimpse. Isn't it breathtaking??
